Automated bottling line

This page coordinates comparable factory quotations for an automated bottling line inside the bottle packaging boundary. We align quote assumptions, list included and excluded items, and ask how packed good bottles will be counted during a complete line trial. Automation here means machine-to-machine transfers and interlocks on the packaging route, not a claim that cellar process equipment is included.

Service stage and responsibilities

Requirement review

  1. Requirement review: Design input

Collect the same package for every bidder: bottle drawings, fill volume, carbonation or still duty, closure diameter, label size, pack pattern, destination, three-phase supply and compressed air demand. Name first and last automatic stations. If rinsing, inspection or case packing stay with another vendor, write the handshake now. Ask which assumptions must appear on an automated bottling line quotation: turret speed versus packed throughput, reject handling, and whether software licenses sit in the base machine price.

  2. Supplier answer

Each factory should split the offer into machine, change parts, controls cabinet, installation, training, spare parts and freight. They should state how packed good bottles are counted in a complete line trial: start signal, stop signal, sample size and whether cleaning time is inside the clock. Nominal speed without a representative product and bottle is not a validated output. Positioning tolerance at transfers and cycle time across accumulation belong in the same answer so later SAT language is not invented on the floor.

  3. Open deviation

Typical gaps: one bidder prices a monoblock while another prices filler plus capper only; one includes conveyors and restart logic while another treats them as free-issue; one FAT uses water while your product is beer or honey. Record those deviations before ranking totals. Do not treat a single-machine rate as integrated-line performance.

Quote boundary checklist for an automated bottling line
Dimension Buyer records Supplier must confirm Common mismatch
Throughput basis Fill volume, product, acceptable rejects Packed bottles per hour on that duty Brochure turret speed used as plant output
Automation scope Stations that must run unattended Which transfers, interlocks and PLC interface are supplied Islands quoted without conveyor ownership
Changeover tooling Bottle and closure families Which parts are included versus extra Only the trial bottle is tooled
Site and support Footprint, utilities, training language Installation, commissioning, spare parts list Ex-works machine compared with installed rival

Read empty-container arrival through packed exit and equipment inquiry options before you freeze the bidder list. Continue with an RFQ when the assumption set is stable enough to compare.
